  • There is parking directly outside of reception, shop and launderette

Pre-Arrival

  • We confirm all holiday bookings by email, and we can be contacted by telephone, email and post. We accept calls through the TextDirect and TypeTalk services
  • Our website complies with the Web Accessibility Initiative and all pages are built to AA (Double A) standard, complying with all priority 1 and 2 guidelines
  • We can put you in touch with a local company that hires wheelchairs
  • All our buildings are single-storey with no stairs or lifts

Public Transport

  • Bus: We have a small local bus that leaves the park at 10.30am and returns at 1.30pm from Settle.
  • Train: Our nearest train station is Long Preston (3 miles)
  • Plane: Our nearest airport is Manchester (50 miles)
  • Taxi: Local taxi number available from reception

Reception

  • There is easy level access into reception with a low level desk for guests in wheelchairs
  • There are parking available outside reception
  • Our opening times are 9am until 6pm during peak season, 9am until 5pm at all other times.

Shop

  • There are 2 entrances to the shop, one from reception with a small ramp, and one from carpark , shop has level floor with no steps.The shop is level and on one storey, with aisles that are wide enough for wheelchair access
  • Shelves are stacked from waist to head level and assistance is always available if needed
  • There are car parking spaces available outside the shop

Launderette

  • The launderette has easy access to it with a small step up into it
  • The closest parking is by the park entrance, around 20m away
  • All machines are front loading and coin operated
  • The launderette is open 24 hours per day

Cafe

  • Our cafe is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp entrance and space for wheelchair access between tables
  • The closest parking is at reception, around 20 metres away. There is one dedicated parking space

Public Areas

  • Bowland Fell park is mostly level with only a gentle incline situated at the park entrance
  • Guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs are accepted in all areas
  • The main roads throughout the park and public areas are mostly tarmac
  • Key areas of the park are illuminated at night with low level energy efficient lighting
  • There is a strict 10mph speed limit on park
  • We have an indoor heated swimming pool on site, there is a small charge for this. The pool is ‘non-lifeguarded’ and numbers are limited at peak times.
  • We have 2 outside play areas for small children
  • We have a small games room available

Hire Caravans

  • There is guest parking available directly outside all of our accommodation. We will try and locate you close to facilities if you advise us of your requirements in advance
  • We accept guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs free of charge, but you need to tell us about them when you book
  • All of our hire caravans have showers, some have en-suite facilities off the main bedroom
  • All static caravans are level inside with no steps but with narrow corridors
  • All caravans are fitted with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms, and a fire blanket/extinguisher. All our caravans are non smoking
