Moorcock Show

One of the oldest traditional sheep show in the Yorkshire Dales, were you can see the best of the local breeds of sheep, swaledales, Rough Fells, Mules, Texels, Blue Faces leicesters and Herdwicks, being judge. In addition you can also take part in the public judging event and choose the best sheep. But its not only about sheep there are a substantial number of local craft, food stalls and trade stands for you to peruse. Together with a bouncy castle for the children. Music will be provided by the Hawes Town band, and there is refreshments available.

Bentham Agricultural Show

Classes for cattle, sheep, poultry, pygmy goats, handicrafts, horticulture, pets and stick dressing. Vintage vehicles, children’s entertainment and young farmers competitions. Trade stands and craft stalls, both inside and out. Companion Dog Show, with novelty classes

Cheese Festival

Back by popular demand and now in it’s 3rd year the cheese festival, celebrating local produce is set to be brie…lliant.
This year we hope to have a fantastic and exciting cheese festival at the Wensleydale Creamery for 2 days. Following this, the week after we will be celebrating our local produce by getting local businesses around the Yorkshire Dales to really promote their fantastic local foods, ingredients and recipes, providing visitors and locals with a Yorkshire experience, authenticity and a real opportunity to learn about the true provenance of our food, our history and heritage, our wild life and natural beauty and we will promote the opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of the Yorkshire Dales.
