During your stay at Bowland Fell holiday park you certainly won’t be short of great places to take the kids in Yorkshire. Our wonderful Yorkshire holiday park is a popular choice for both couples and families. We understand that keeping the whole family entertained can be a challenge, luckily there are loads of great family attractions for you to enjoy just a short distance from our holiday park.

Eureka! The National Children’s Museum

The only fully interactive museum dedicated to children ages 0-11. With 400 interactive, hands-on exhibits designed to inspire learning minds. The National Children’s Museum is home to 6 unique zones, each with a different theme to explore. From how music is created to taking over a child size town or step inside giant body parts! Packed with equipment and activities to try, Eureka! Is a great place to take the kids in Yorkshire.

Skipton Castle Woods

Next to one of Britain’s most popular medieval castles, Skipton Castle Woods is a rare, woodland, straight off the high street. With a great history that dates back a thousand years, stunning seasonal displays and fantastic wildlife. Embark on the worlds largest treasure hunt, take part in the Skipton Castle woodland board game and watch out for bats on the bat trail. There are loads of exited things for you do to as a family at Skipton Castle Woods.

Skipton Boat Trips

A great way to explore the longest canal in Britain at 127 miles! The canal was originally used to transport coal, cloth and stone but it’s now a fantastic way to discover the area with the kids. Take a guided trip with commentary along the way on your whistle stop tour of Skipton. You can even hire a luxury day boat and be your own captain! Other trips include musical cruises, Santa trips and Christmas cruises.

National Science and Media Museum

Explore the science and culture of light and sounds. With the aim of inspiring the scientist and innovators of the future. The galleries and exhibitions help to illuminate world-famous collections of photography, film and television. With learning activities to fuel imaginations and three cinema screens, show casing the magic of moving images from around the world, this day out isn’t one to be missed.

Hesketh Farm Park

This working farm has over 1,000 cattle, sheep and pigs. The large, heated barn is a cosy place to retreat to give the animals a cuddle whatever the weather. Back outside you can explore the giant sand pit and race your way out of the straw maze. Keep your eyes out for the stream train chugging along the valley! The small café is a great stop to grab a snack before you test your skills on the agility course – a great adventure for the while family.

Kilnsey Trekking & Riding Centre

A family fun riding centre which offers pony trekking and riding lessons. Situated in the Yorkshire dales near Skipton. Our pony treks are great for both adults and children from the age of four, able and disabled riders and from beginner to advanced. There’s no better way to see the Yorkshire dales than from horse back!

Here at Bowland Fell we’re lucky to have these great places to take the kids in Yorkshire right on our doorstep. But you don’t always have to leave our holiday park to entertain the kiddies. Enjoy a drip in our outdoor heated pool, grab a bite to eat in our 17th Century Crowtrees Inn, or even browser the local goods in the farm shop. We have a huge range of accommodation, from luxury lodges to plus barn conversions and caravan holiday homes. There is something for everyone at our Yorkshire Holiday park.
